At this year’s Tinsel & Toddy, AACA will collect items on Camp Sunshine’s Wish List.

Tinsel & Toddy will take place Thursday, November 20 at the home of Sustainer Janet Kloepfer, 245 Sedgefield Place in Athens.

Camp Sunshine provides year-round programs for children who have cancer and their families. The underlying philosophy of Camp Sunshine is that children with cancer are normal children who have special needs. These children require the same opportunities for personal and physical development as other children, regardless of the outcome of their disease.

Camp Sunshine’s recreational, educational and support programs provide opportunities that promote individual growth and self-confidence, peer support through friendships with others experiencing similar challenges, and normal life experiences for children with cancer and their families. These activities promote and enhance normal childhood development and help children cope with the challenges of cancer.
