Obligations of the Auxiliary Member
- ANNUAL DUES OF $50 SHOULD BE PAID BY MAY 31. Those members joining the Auxiliary after December are expected to pay half dues of $25.00. New members’ dues should accompany their application for membership.
- A full year of membership in the Auxiliary requires a minimum of twenty (20) hours of service. New members who join after December are required to serve ten (10) hours. There are a variety of opportunities offered to fulfill this requirement.
- The New Member Committee provides an orientation for new members twice a year. New members should attend one of these sessions. It is not mandatory that a new member attend orientation prior to joining the AACA.
- Members are expected to pay the cost of their meal for the General Meetings if they fail to cancel their reservation with the Meetings Chairperson.
- Members are responsible for selling tickets for the Tour of Homes and are billed if this requirement is not met. Each member must work a minimum of one hostess shift during the Tour of Homes. A fine of $20.00 will be assessed for failure to meet this shift requirement.
- Each member must work a minimum of one shift during a Spring Service Project of their choice.
Opportunities for Service
Members may serve in various Auxiliary projects, which generally fall into two categories: Fundraising Activities and Service Activities. These projects include, but are not limited to, those listed below. Members are encouraged to participate in activities in both areas.
